Adventure Camp
Adventure Camp began over 12 years ago in Ms. Richards’ backyard as a way to provide her beloved kindergarten students with a social, creative, and active experience during the summer. What started as a small, close-knit gathering quickly grew as more and more students and families wanted to join in the fun. While the camp has expanded over the years, its original purpose remains the same: to offer children a magical summer filled with imagination, friendship, and exploration in a nurturing and supportive environment. From humble beginnings to the vibrant community it is today, Adventure Camp continues to be a special place for kids to grow, learn, and make lifelong memories.
Outdoor Fun and Active Play
Adventure Camp is all about excitement in the great outdoors! Campers stay active with games like capture the chicken and parachute, running, climbing stairs, and exploring nature. Long beach walks and time to build forts and explore the shoreline add to the fun and adventure. These activities help build agility, teamwork, and strength while sparking imagination and encouraging collaboration. With every activity, campers develop key interpersonal skills, make new friends, and enjoy the freedom of being outside all day long.
Creativity and Mentorship
Each day includes time for creative exploration, where campers work with fun and unique craft materials. This hands-on time allows kids to use their imaginations, develop new skills, and create something special. Guided by the Montessori philosophy, Adventure Camp brings children of all ages together, fostering mentorship and teamwork. Middle and high school counselors serve as role models, leading younger campers while encouraging patience, kindness, and empathy in every interaction.

Adventure Camp welcomes a variety of special guests each week to introduce campers to new and exciting experiences. Mr. Hirsch brings energy and joy to camp with his captivating songs and folk tales. The Reptile Lady amazes campers with her collection of fascinating animals they can hold and interact with, A magician delivers a lively and engaging magic show that leaves everyone laughing and in awe. These special guest visits make every week unforgettable, giving campers new opportunities to learn, explore, and expand their horizons.
